JACKSONVILLE, F.L. – ۽ֱ breaks ground on Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s (JAA) approximately $340 million Concourse B project and an additional parking garage at Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). A ceremonial dirt turning event was held on May 10 to celebrate the milestone with JAA and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials, ۽ֱ teammates, Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean and U.S. Congressman John Rutherford. Once complete, the major construction projects will greatly transform the travel experience at JAX and meet future demand of forecasted passenger traffic.

۽ֱ serves as general contractor for the deliveries of the new concourse and approximately $100 million parking garage structure at JAX. Concourse B will be constructed over three major phases which includes the delivery of phase one, the security checkpoint expansion which was completed in Fall 2023.

Phase two includes the taxiway whiskey and ramp construction and the planning, design, construction and relocation of airfield equipment. The last phase is the construction of the 190,000-square-foot Concourse B which features six additional gates to grow airline operations, as well as new restaurants and amenities for passengers.

The new parking structure will add approximately 2,000 additional spaces and feature six levels of parking located next to the existing daily garage. The structure will also include changes to the rental car pickup and drop-off area, which will reduce traffic closer to the terminal.

“Over the last 25 years our company has served as a construction partner of JAX’s expansion efforts,” said Dave Campbell, ۽ֱ operations director in Jacksonville. “Our project team is ready to embark on the newest expansion at JAX while working with JAA to support their project goals and maintain safe airport operations throughout construction. ۽ֱ is grateful to continue our presence at JAX and provide a solution for the airport’s increased passenger growth.”

۽ֱ has completed more than at JAX which have helped to revitalize the airport and expand Jacksonville's economic growth and passenger satisfaction. The new Concourse B and third parking garage adds to the company’s extensive aviation project portfolio and expertise within the U.S.

The new Concourse B will be designed to allow the airport to facilitate 10 million passengers through 2035. Construction is underway with expected completion December 2026.
