۽ֱ Ranked as ENR California’s No. 1 Education Builder and Receives Two “Best Project” Awards

CALIFORNIA – ۽ֱ is named the by Engineering-News Record (ENR) California for 2023. This comes shortly after being recognized with ENR California’s awards for its work on the reconstruction of Chino High School and the new Logan Memorial Educational Campus.

ENR California’s 2023 Top Contractors by market sector is a part of the publication’s Top Contractors list, which is published annually and ranks general contractors both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue. As No. 1 Education Builder in California, ۽ֱ’s revenue in the education market sector for 2022 was more than $443 million.

ENR’s Regional Best Project awards are a series of special events that celebrate and honor building teams across the nation who have delivered the best projects of the year. Independent panels of local industry experts from each of ENR’s 10 regional editions select the winning projects using five criteria, including safety, innovation and teamwork. Out of 75 projects, ENR California’s competition recognized 26 Best Project and 16 Awards of Merit across California and Hawaii.

The multi-phased project was recognized with the ‘Best K-12 Education’ award in Southern California. Located in Chino, the $176M campus features a two-story administration building, two-story classroom buildings, a two-story library and science building, a single-story vocational building, a new 562-seat performing arts center, new aquatic center, new and expanded athletic field space, a new parking lot, hardscape, fire lanes, and accessible path of travel, new utility tie-ins in the public right-of-way and city off-site improvements.

A key attribute to delivering the new campus was to integrate modern learning practices featuring a state-of-the-art Biomedical Science and Technology Academy and MAGNET academy, lecture hall, flexible furniture for student ergonomic needs, integrated special education programs, spaces for small group project instructions, wireless access for students and indoor hallways. Additionally, drought-tolerant landscaping was planted around the campus to limit water usage.

The was recognized with the ‘Award of Merit – K-12 Education’ award in Southern California. Located in San Diego, the $119M educational complex preserves the rich culture and pride of the community and repurposes the sites of two former district schools. Phase one features the delivery of a new elementary school for TK-fifth grades and a sixth-grade academy which includes an administration, multi-purpose with food service facilities, and a two-story classroom building. The project also features construction of a new seventh- and eighth-grade, two-story classroom and Physical Education building.

Phase two of the educational facility includes a new high school campus including a new gymnasium, administration/library building, two-story classroom building, two-story locker/ science building, a theater, kitchen/cafeteria, and career pathways educational spaces.
