ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ Celebrates Black History Month
February 1, 2022
In honor of Black History Month, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ is celebrating and recognizing the invaluable contributions of African Americans—both past and present—to our country, industry, and company.
To further advance our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ is commemorating Black History Month by providing employees with educational resources, facilitating critical conversations on topics including career advancement and leadership skills, and highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. These opportunities will create greater insight into the African American experience as well as the challenges African Americans continue to encounter today.
To learn more about ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s commemoration of Black History Month, featuring Vice President of Legal, Earnest DeLoach, Jr., who co-leads the company’s Network of Black Leaders and Executives (NOBLE) employee affinity group.
NOBLE was established in 2020 as a platform to connect ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s African American employees, engage in honest dialogue about race relations issues our teams face in the field and in the industry, as well as facilitate crucial conversations about actionable steps ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥ can take to create a more inclusive culture. NOBLE has played an integral role in the company’s annual since its inception in 2020, hosting notable African American keynote speakers and panelists who have raised greater awareness, dialogue, and collective understanding regarding the African American experience.
NOBLE, along with the company’s other employee affinity groups, plays a vital role in advancing our people-first culture that creates a safe and inclusive workplace environment for our teammates and partners, ensuring everyone’s voice is always valued, heard, and respected.
Beyond Black History Month, NOBLE will continue to support and advance the actions and conversations that are necessary to fuel ÃÛ½ÛÖ±²¥â€™s progress along our diversity, equity, and inclusion journey. Join us as we build allyship in our industry and the communities in which we are privileged to live, build and serve.
